MRT 26 8k
The MRT 26 8k is a running event held at the Statesville Soccer Complex in Statesville, North Carolina. Participants can choose between different race categories on a course located at 2012 Simonton Rd. The event prohibits dogs on the course.

- 8k youth race
- 1 Mile Fun Run
This competition serves as one of fifteen races in the 2026 Championship Series. Runners participate in these events throughout the year to accumulate points toward a seasonal ranking. To be eligible for the Series Championship, a runner must compete in at least 10 of the 15 scheduled races. Additional points are awarded for every race completed beyond the initial ten. Participants who complete all 15 races receive five bonus points and a complimentary entry for a race in the following year.
Points are distributed based on finishing positions. The system awards 12 points for first place overall, with decreasing values for second and third. Points are also allocated for Masters and age group placements, while all other finishers receive two points. At the end of the series, prize money is awarded to the top five male and female championship winners. Awards for overall, masters, and five-year age groups are presented on the night of the race.
