Event Overview
The Lake Norman State Park Sprint is a triathlon event scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Lake Norman State Park in Troutman, North Carolina.
Event Format
The event offers three participation formats: Individual, Relay, and Aquabike. The sprint distance consists of a 750-meter swim, an 18-mile bike ride, and a 5K run.

The race takes place at Lake Norman State Park. The park features over 30 miles of single-track mountain biking trails and has a family campground with 32 sites. Parking is available immediately adjacent to the main race site. The location is approximately six miles from the Mooresville Exit off Interstate 77.
Registration & Logistics
Registration opens on November 1, 2025. Packet pickup occurs at the race site on Friday, April 24, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and on race day, Saturday, April 25, from 6:00 AM to 7:30 AM. A photo ID is required for packet pickup, and participants must pick up their own packets. Payment methods include cash, check, or credit card.
