Mountain Man Triathlon Long & Olympic
The Mountain Man Triathlon is a local, family run triathlon offering Long and Olympic course options. The event was founded in 1984 and is listed as the fifth oldest triathlon west of the Mississippi River. It is held at Lake Mary near Flagstaff, United States.
The race course passes near the Upper Lake Mary boat docks, located about ten miles south of Flagstaff on Lake Mary Road at mile post 333. The route provides views of the San Francisco Peaks, Lake Mary, and Mormon Lake. The event takes place shortly after the regional monsoon season when local flora is often in bloom.
All finishers receive a medal and the event presents handcrafted awards. Food is available on site. Timing is provided using RFID Timing Systems; participants must wear a timing chip around the ankle with the supplied Velcro strap. Timing chips are reusable and must be returned after the event. Timing services for this edition are provided by 4 Peaks Racing.
