Southwest Vertical Challenge at AZ Snowbowl
The Southwest Vertical Challenge at AZ Snowbowl is scheduled for August 15, 2026, with venue services at Snowbowl Fort Valley Lodge in Flagstaff, Arizona. The course rises from forest single track to high alpine terrain and finishes at the gondola near the ski area summit.
The route uses the Arizona Trail (AZT) through the Coconino National Forest, opens into aspen meadows, and includes a final ascent up Upper Volcano to a peak elevation of 11,500 feet. The course reports an approximate vertical gain of 4,300 feet and an approximate distance of about 11 to 12 miles. The start line address is Fort Valley Lodge, 8005 N.
