Mount Albert Sports Day 5km Run/Walk
The event takes place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, in Mount Albert, Ontario, approximately 20 minutes north-east of Newmarket. The 5 km run/walk starts and finishes at the Mount Albert Community Centre at 53 Main Street, next to the Mount Albert Skate Park. The course follows the rolling hills of the rural roads through the community.
Bib and t-shirt pickup is available in advance at Mount Albert Foodland on Thursday, June 4 and Friday, June 5, 2026, from 4 PM to 7 PM. On race day, pickup is available at the pavilion from 7:00 AM. A welcome, the national anthem, and a warm-up occur at 7:45 AM. Participants make their way to the start line on Main Street at 8:15 AM, and the race starts promptly at 8:30 AM.
Post-race snacks, fruit, water, and chocolate milk are available under the pavilion. The event coincides with the Mount Albert Sports Day and Spring Fair, celebrating its 101st year in 2026. The race route is closed to motorized vehicles from 7:30 AM until 10:00 AM. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
