Mount Albert Sports Day 5km Run/Walk
The Mount Albert Sports Day 5km Run/Walk is an annual community event held in Mount Albert, Ontario, located northeast of Newmarket. The event features a course that starts and finishes at the Mount Albert Community Centre. The route transitions from the residential and business sections of the town into the rural countryside, following roads with rolling hills.
The course is closed to motorized vehicles during the event to accommodate participants of various abilities. After the 4km mark, the route turns onto Main Street, leading toward the finish line situated at the west edge of Mount Albert Park. Water stations are positioned along the route, and post-race refreshments such as fruit and chocolate milk are provided at the pavilion.

Every participant who completes the distance receives a finisher medal. Cash prizes are available for breaking course records and for top overall finishers, including specific awards for local residents. Age category awards are presented in ten-year increments, from 10 and under to 70 plus. The race utilizes chip timing for all participants.
