Mount Albert Sports Day 5km Run/Walk
The 5 km run and walk takes place in the community of Mount Albert, Ontario, on Saturday June 6, 2026. The event starts and finishes at the Mount Albert Community Centre under the start/finish gantry. The course follows rolling rural roads and passes through residential and business sections where residents often line the route to cheer participants. Just after the 4 km mark the course turns left onto Main Street toward the finish, which is at the west edge of Mount Albert park beneath a large FINISH banner.
Organizers provide finisher medals for everyone and award prizes by overall placing, age category and team or family entry. Cash prizes are listed for overall winners and for course records; medals are awarded first through third in each age category: 10 years and under, 11-13, 14-16, 17-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 plus. There is no duplication of awards for overall winners and age-group first places. All bib numbers are automatically entered in a random draw for donated prizes; winners must be present to claim draw prizes.
Bib and T-shirt pick up is scheduled on the two days before the event and on race morning. The running event runs alongside the Mount Albert Sports Day and Spring Fair, which operates across the weekend and offers free gate admission on specified days.
