Annual 5K Run & Walkathon - Heritage Program Fundraiser
The Vedic Cultural Centre presents the second annual 5 km run and walkathon on May 3, 2026 at Toronto Arya Samaj, 4345 14th Avenue, Markham, Ontario. The in-person event has an approximate duration of two hours.
This event is a fundraiser for the centre's Heritage Program, which organizes exhibits, performances and presentations under Indian Arrival Day. The program will mark its 27th edition of exhibits and includes a commemoration of the 188th Anniversary of the arrival of Indians in the Western World on May 23, 2026 at the Vedic Cultural Centre.
Donations and ticket revenue are allocated to specific needs identified by the organiser: replacement of an aging HVAC system, development of forums and educational materials, and preservation and enhancement of cultural artifacts and exhibits. Admission to the Heritage Program itself is offered free thanks to donated support.
