The Mother's Day 10k in Fredericksburg, VA, is held at Old Mill Park. It is one of three distances offered, along with a 5k and a 1-mile run.

Race Details

The event offers three distances:

  • A 1-mile run.
  • A 5k.
  • A 10k.

The course is a paved path that runs alongside the Rappahannock River. The route has a few small hills. The 5k course is an out-and-back, while the 10k involves completing the 5k route twice. Walkers and participants with strollers are welcome. The event includes live results available on Athlinks.com and race-day runner tracking via SMS.

Runner Benefits & Awards

Participants receive a finisher's medal, a technical (Drifit) event shirt, and chip timing. Awards are presented to the top 3 men and women overall. Age group awards are given for 1st and 2nd place in categories from 19 & Under to 70+. Runners who place in the top 3 overall are not eligible for age group awards.

Logistics & Amenities

Packet pickup and race-day registration are available at the event, with an additional fee applied on race morning. T-shirt sizes for race-day registrants cannot be guaranteed. For the 10k course, there are five water stations. The 5k course has two water stations. Gatorade may be available at some stations. Restrooms are located near the parking lot. The event has a "Back of the Pack" cutoff time of 11:00 AM.

Charity & Policies

The race benefits Gwyneth’s Gift Foundation, which raises awareness for CPR and AED use. The event follows an all-weather policy and proceeds regardless of conditions, barring a rare cancellation.
