Most Eggcellent 10K and 5K in Buena Vista
The Most Eggcellent event on Saturday, April 26, 2025 combines foot races and a community Easter Egg Hunt in Buena Vista, Colorado. The foot races include a 10 km and a 5 km course that travel through the west side of town and offer views of Mount Princeton.

The Easter Egg Hunt takes place on the lawn at McPhelemy Park and is organized with separate areas by age so children from infants through 5th grade can participate. The hunt is free and does not require registration; donations to the event beneficiary are welcome. Participants are asked to bring their own bag or basket to collect eggs.
The 10K and 5K feature an 1980s theme. The races are stroller friendly and children riding in strollers do not need to register. Registration is completed online, including on race day, and accepts cards only. Registration may close early if participant caps are reached. Packet pickup is available at McPhelemy Park on race day.
Place awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers of each run. All participants receive a Most Eggcellent shirt and a commemorative finisher medal; 10K participants also receive a Hydrapak speed cup as part of cupless racing arrangements.
Dogs are not allowed on any race course due to race insurance. Dogs may be kept at the start and finish area if controlled, leashed, and kept at least 20 feet from the start and finish. McPhelemy Park is located at the corner of Highway 24 and West Main Street and attendees are asked not to park at the park. One dollar from each registration will go to the Dolly Parton Imagination Library and additional donations are accepted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
