Celebration of Moms 5K & Family Fun Run
The Celebration of Moms 5K and Family Fun Run is a community event in Buena Vista, Colorado on May 9, 2026, hosted by the Buena Vista School District. The program includes a 5K on mixed dirt and paved town trails and a free kids fun run held on the elementary school field. The 5K course is described as stroller friendly, permitting runners, walkers, and stroller participants.
Post-race activities take place in the school gym and include kid crafts, snacks, and giveaways. The nearby playground will be available during the event. Dogs are not allowed on any race course due to insurance restrictions; animals may be kept at the start and finish area if leashed, controlled, and kept at least 20 feet away from the start and finish. Registration for the 5K carries a fee while the kids run is free; registrants who cannot participate may request a deferment to the following year or forfeit registration in lieu of a donation.
