Courses and race details
The swim takes place in Dock 9. The bike course is flat, run on quiet open roads in an anti-clockwise, multi-lap format around MediaCityUK, Salford and Trafford. The run passes landmarks such as the Lowry Theatre and Imperial War Museum North. Swim caps and race numbers are provided at registration. Wetsuits are optional.

- Standard Triathlon: 1.5 km swim / 41.6 km bike / 10.4 km run
- Sprint Triathlon: 750 m swim / 20.8 km bike / 5.2 km run
- Standard Aquabike: 1.5 km swim / 41.6 km bike
- Sprint Aquabike: 750 m swim / 20.8 km bike
The bike course specifies 6 laps for the standard distance and 3 laps for the sprint. Mobile bike marshals provide basic assistance; competitors are advised to carry a basic repair kit. Front and rear lights are recommended but not mandatory. Toilets are available at the Open Centre, local cafes, and portable units near the swim area.
