Event overview
The 5th Annual Kickin It For Katy takes place Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Fairmont State University, 1201 Locust Ave., Fairmont, WV. Activities, logistics and proceeds
A festival called "Katy Fest" runs alongside the race with live music, awareness tables (topics include suicide, addiction, veterans), a National Guard pull-up contest, food trucks, a large basket raffle, face painting, a dunk tank (weather permitting), vendors, games and a cornhole tournament. The race route starts and finishes at the Falcon Center Quad; parking is available in the adjacent parking garage. Awards are planned for the top three men and women in all age categories, and overall top three men and women receive cash prizes of $75, $50 and $25 respectively. Water is provided at the finish area and participants receive three food-truck tickets. Proceeds benefit a local scholarship fund and the Marion County Humane Society.
