Morais Vineyards Wine Run 5K
The event is a chip-timed 5k run/walk held at Morais Vineyards in Bealeton, Virginia. The course consists of two laps on vineyard grounds. Results are posted online after the race.
Registration includes a Super Soft ring spun cotton T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal, and a race bib. Participants also receive a pour of wine; minors may participate with a discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal and bib but does not include the wine glass or a wine pour. Packet pickup is available on race day only and opens shortly before the event.
The event offers age group awards for the top three finishers in each category. Age groups are in 10-year bands from 19 and under up to 80 and over. Competitive runners must start with the first group to be eligible for age group awards. Awards are available for pickup on the day of the event and will not be shipped.
Walking is allowed. Strollers are permitted but not recommended because of uneven ground; children in strollers may participate for free and do not need to register. Dogs are not allowed on site due to produce and farm regulations.
The local charity partner is Fauquier FISH, a nonprofit serving Fauquier County since 1983 with programs such as a food pantry, school supply drives, Weekend Power Pack meals, senior meals, a farmers market program, and holiday food baskets, serving over 5,000 individuals annually.
