Morais Vineyards Wine Run 5K
Morais Vineyards Wine Run 5K is a chip timed 5k run/walk held at Morais Vineyards in Bealeton, Virginia. The course consists of two laps on vineyard grounds. Registration includes a super soft ring spun cotton T shirt, a shatterproof collapsible portable wine glass, a finisher medal, a race bib with chip timing, online results, and a pour of wine at the finish.
The event lists Fauquier FISH as its local charity partner. Fauquier FISH operates a range of community programs including food pantry distribution, a Book Bag School Supply drive, Weekend Power Pack meals for school children, Senior Meals, a Farmers Market Program, and holiday food baskets. The organization serves over 5,000 individuals annually and runs nutrition focused efforts that provide DASH meals with ingredients and guidance for healthier eating. Volunteer opportunities and community partnerships are part of its work.
Age group awards are offered for the top three finishers in each 10 year category: 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 & Over. Competitive runners must start with the first group to be eligible for age group awards. Age group awards are available only on the day of the event and will not be shipped.
Packet pickup is race day only and opens prior to the event start. Minors may participate with a discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal, and bib but not a wine glass or a pour of wine. Strollers are allowed though uneven ground is noted and children in strollers may participate for free without registration. Dogs are not allowed on site due to farm and USDA rules.
