5K to End Overdose
The 5K to End Overdose takes place on August 1, 2026 in Fredericksburg, Virginia at 120 River Road. The event is organized to benefit Zoe Freedom Center, which provides free addiction services; proceeds and awareness efforts support those services.
The event offers in-person and virtual options, each with a standard 5 kilometer distance and an under-12 category. Registration opens January 15, 2026. In-person registration closes July 15, 2026; virtual registration closes July 31, 2026. Fees listed by the organizer are $35 for the standard 5K and $15 for under-12 entries for both in-person and virtual options. The organizer indicates that participants who register before July 10 will receive a race t-shirt and a finisher medal; under-12 entries are noted as not receiving a t-shirt.
Awards are planned for the top three male and top three female finishers in the overall in-person 5K. After the in-person race there will be food and drinks available. Parking is available at Pratt Park and restrooms are available at the park. The event will proceed rain or shine. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
