Moors Valley Wildwood Trail Series Half Marathon & 10K
The Moors Valley Wildwood Trail Series stages a half marathon and a 10K within Moors Valley Country Park & Forest in Dorset, held in January. Routes follow gravel and woodland paths and include muddy sections and inclines, with views of local wildlife such as deer and birds of prey.

The event uses a fully marked course with aid stations, marshals on route, chip timing and online results. Event photography is provided and finishers receive an eco medal. Canicross places are available in limited numbers; push-buggies are not permitted. Age restrictions apply: participants must be 15 years or older for the 10K and 17 years or older for the half marathon. Parking is available at Moors Valley Country Park with applicable charges. The nearest railway station is Hinton Admiral, around 6.7 miles away.
Organisers describe several eco measures including use of recycled and biodegradable materials, energy-efficient power sources, steps to avoid single-use plastic at water stations, provision of water bowls for dogs, and measures to protect wildlife habitats.
