Event Overview
The Moonlight Run is an annual athletic event held in Williamsville, New York. The 2026 edition marks the 40th year of this evening race. The event supports the Hilary Grace Foundation, an organization assisting families affected by the opioid epidemic in Western New York.
Course and Registration
The race follows a certified road course. Registration typically opens in early March, with tiered pricing based on the date of entry. Participants who register early are eligible for custom T-shirts, which are provided to the first 900 people signed up. While organizers attempt to fulfill specific size requests, shirts are limited to the available stock. There are no refunds or deferrals offered for this event.
Logistics
Packet pickup is available on multiple days prior to the race at locations in East Amherst, Orchard Park, and Williamsville. Participants are encouraged to use these early pickup windows to decrease congestion on the day of the race. On the day of the event, registration and additional packet pickup operations move to the pavilion at Island Park.
Recognition and Celebration
Awards are presented to the top overall male and female finishers. Additionally, the top three male and female finishers in various age categories are recognized. These categories range from 10 and under to 85 and over, and include a wheelchair division. Following the race, a post-race celebration takes place at Island Park featuring live music, food, and beverages. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
