Summer Sizzler : Beaver Island State Park, Grand Island, NY (Aug 8, 2026)

The Summer Sizzler is a multi-event multisport competition held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Beaver Island State Park on Grand Island, NY. Events offered include triathlon, duathlon and aquabike formats, with individual and relay options for the sprint triathlon.

Course, format and logistics

The swim takes place in the Niagara River with a beach start in a time trial format. Athletes line up in numeric order with all Formula 1 athletes first, followed by Sprint athletes; two or three competitors enter the water at a time after crossing the timing mats. Course layouts are the same for all events except the Formula 1 second swim.

Packet pickup is at Beaver Island State Park on the day before the race (Friday, August 7, 2026) and on race day (Saturday, August 8, 2026). All athletes must pick up their own packet; all relay members must be present to collect a team packet. Minors require a parent or legal guardian at registration. Adults who are not USA Triathlon members will be charged the one-day USAT membership fee.

Registration fees vary by event and date; the Formula 1 Triathlon and Duathlon list rates from $90 up to $120 depending on registration period. Refunds are only available through optional registration insurance. Event transfers can be initiated through the participant account.
