It's In My Blood Awareness Walk & 5K Run : Delaware Park, Buffalo
This annual event at Delaware Park in Buffalo features a timed 5K run and a 1.75 mile awareness walk to support people with bleeding and clotting disorders. The 5K follows a two-loop course and finishes near St. George Orthodox Church. A single water station is placed on course and bottled water is provided at the finish area. Packet pickup happens at the finish area on race morning and online registration remains open through race day. Participants who register by August 1 receive a guaranteed event shirt; a limited number of extra shirts will be available afterward.
The event offers in person and virtual participation. Virtual entrants can complete their 5K between August 1 and September 1, 2026, and receive mailed shirts within the continental USA. Professional RFID timing records results in real time, and finish line photos and custom finisher certificates are available through the event platforms.
Post race activities include an awards presentation at the finish area, a complimentary lunch from a food truck, bottled water, music, and a participant gift. Free parking is available near Delaware Park. Organizers reserve the right to reschedule or convert the event to virtual for safety or public health reasons; there are no refunds.
