Monument Run - Carrickfergus
The Monument Run is a timed event held in Carrickfergus on 22nd November 2026. The event offers both Marathon and Half Marathon options and is presented as a no-frills, low-cost race with an entry fee of £35.
The course is circular with the start and finish at the same location. The route winds up and around the Knockagh Monument and then returns to sea level; the Half Marathon completes one circuit and the Marathon completes two circuits. Routes may include multiple options and are described as easy to follow. Participants will be able to view the route before the event.
Finish awards are bespoke slate coasters provided instead of medals. The organizer states the courses are timed and that course guidance is provided to reduce the chance of navigation errors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
