Seeley Cup 10k
The Seeley Cup is an annual 10 km road race in Ormeau Park, Belfast, running since 1982 in memory of local athlete Joe Seeley. The course follows the Ormeau Embankment and winds through Ormeau Park. The start is on the Ormeau Embankment near the Asian Supermarket and the finish is inside the park. The embankment is closed to traffic for 45 minutes at the race start and the park remains open to the public throughout.
Entries are capped at 1000. A waiting list is managed through SiEntries once capacity is reached. Entry options include a green entry without a T shirt and a standard entry, with different fees for affiliated and non affiliated runners.
Pack collection is available pre race at the Les Jones Room, Athletics NI Offices, Mary Peters Track and on race day at the Ozone building. Refunds are not available and entries cannot be deferred. The deadline for name changes is Friday 6th November.
On race day there will be pacers for 40, 45, 50 and 55 minutes and tail runners. Headphone use follows UK Athletics rule 240 S5; only bone conducting headphones are permitted except for medical exceptions. A water station is located at the finish and first aid will be provided. Toilets, changing and shower facilities are available in the Ozone Complex and there are portable toilets in the Ozone car park.
Prizes are awarded to the first three male and female finishers, team prizes for top teams, and age group prizes for specified masters categories. Results will be posted on Pop Up Races and shared on the club Facebook page. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
