The Montrose 4th of July 5K & 10K is a community road event held on July 4, 2026 at Race Start & Finish, 31 Lake Ave., Montrose, PA. The event is part of the town's Independence Day activities and is sponsored by the Montrose Kiwanis Club and the Montrose Lions Club.

Event amenities include a race shirt for registrants who register by June 14, live results delivered online/text/email, free finish line photos, and personalized bibs for those who register three weeks before race day. Early bib pickup is scheduled for July 3 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on the Green near the Courthouse. Race day bib pickup begins at 6:45 AM.
Awards are given to top male and female finishers overall and in masters and age group categories. Specific awards include top 3 male and female overall, top male and female masters (40+), and multiple age group placings.
Proceeds support local community service projects and programs. Funded activities listed by the organizers include scholarships for area high schools, support for student service clubs, funding for local library and fire company building programs, assistance to local emergency and food programs, park upkeep, holiday support programs, and a children's Halloween parade.
