About the race
The Binghamton Santa Run is an annual holiday road event presented by local Toyota dealerships Empire, Gault, and Williams Toyota. It is a community 5K walk/run that supports St. John the Evangelist School and began in 2011 as New York State’s inaugural Santa Run. The event includes a costume contest with awards for creative holiday attire.

- 1/4 mile Santa's Little Helper kids run, west side of Court Street Bridge
The course starts and finishes at the Court Street Bridge in front of Boscov's Department Store. Course elevations are listed with a start elevation of 855 ft and a maximum elevation of 909 ft. Course directions proceed west on Court Street, then Front Street, Riverside Drive, Beethoven Street, and Main Street.
Registration pricing is tiered by date: registrations on or before November 30, 2026 are listed at $30 and include a long sleeve shirt, Santa hat, and a picture with Santa; registrations on or after December 1, 2026 are listed at $35 with no guarantee of a shirt. Packet pick up and race check-in take place at local venues including the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and Confluence Running in Johnson City. Parking is limited at the DoubleTree. All registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable, and the event operates rain, snow, or shine.
Prizes are awarded across overall, masters, age group, and fun Santa divisions with gift card awards and costume-related prizes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
