Binghamton Ugly Sweater 5K, Binghamton NY
The Binghamton Ugly Sweater 5K takes place on November 29, 2026 at Otsiningo Park in Binghamton. The event is the third running of this festive 5K and includes in-person and virtual participation options.
Participants may choose Team Santa or Team Grinch for the 5K. Virtual entries are available for both teams. A new Team Yeti option is offered in 2026 for those who prefer to walk the 5K rather than run.
Awards are planned for Overall and Masters winners, male and female, as well as for standard age group categories. An ugly sweater contest will award prizes in categories including Ugliest, Most Unique, and Classic Ugly Sweater.
Post-race refreshments for finishers include Christmas cookies and hot chocolate. Proceeds for the event benefit Team Hopeful, a local nonprofit whose Pawlandias program aims to create a doggy daycare that will employ people with special needs.
Giveaway items for participants include a custom long sleeve shirt, a finisher medal or ornament, a digital finisher certificate, and a custom ugly sweater bib.
