Montauk Mile
The Montauk Mile is a one-mile road race held in Montauk, New York. The event takes place at Lion's Field, located at South Erie & Edgemere Street, Montauk, NY 11954, and is staged rain or shine. Registration for the next edition is not yet open; the organizer offers a notification option to be informed when registration becomes available.
Event formats include:
- One-mile open race for men and women
- Free kids fun run for ages 6 and under
On-site services and amenities listed for past editions include live online, email, and text results, free finish-line photos and video, and a complimentary pint for finishers aged 21 and over from Montauk Brewery Co. Awards in previous editions included a cash prize for the overall winners, trucker hats for the first finishers, a special prize for the 67th finisher, and age-group awards for multiple categories from 14 & under through 80+. All proceeds support the OMAC Scholarship Fund and assist the East Hampton High School varsity cross-country teams’ travel to the Ocean State Invitational in Rhode Island.
Bib pickup and check-in are handled at Lion's Field; runners are expected to know their bib number and self-lookup is available if needed. Dogs are not allowed on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
