Monster Dash 5K, Point Pleasant Beach
The 17th annual Monster Dash takes place on October 24, 2026 at the Point Pleasant Beach Boardwalk and Jenkinson's Aquarium. The event includes a 5K Run/Walk and a 1 Mile Fun Run, plus a TShirt purchase option that supports the volunteer first aid squad.

Registration opens July 31, 2026. Registration deadlines differ by entry: the 5K and TShirt-only purchases have a registration guarantee through September 30, 2026; the 1 Mile Fun Run remains open through event day. Published entry fees are $30 for the 5K, $20 for the 1 Mile Fun Run, and $25 for TShirt purchases. TShirt and size availability are guaranteed through September 30, 2026. NEW IN 2026: Softer cotton TShirt.
Packet pickup is scheduled the Thursday before the event at Point Pleasant First Aid & Emergency Squad and on race day at Jenks Pavilion. Timing is provided by Elite Racing Systems. Water stations will be available. A post-race party at Jenkinson's Pavilion will include a lunch provided to the first 250 registrants. The 1 Mile Fun Run awards medals to all finishers; fun run participants do not automatically receive a TShirt but may purchase one.
Awards include top Male, Female, and Nonbinary finishers for the 5K, top costumed finishers, five-year age group awards, and multiple costume category awards. The event is held rain or shine; refunds are not offered, but bib transfers between people are allowed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
