Event Overview
Moms' Run takes place at Philip Simmons High School in Charleston, South Carolina. The event is centered around the school track, where all activities begin and end. Participants can choose between running and walking distances in a family-oriented environment.
The event offers several participation options:
- 5K (Adult, Child age 3-10, or Adult with Stroller)
- 1 Mile Walk (Mom Village Walk)
- 100 Meter Dash (Children ages 3-5)
- 200 Meter Dash (Children ages 6-10)
The 5K race provides a timed option for runners. Those participating in the Adult with Stroller 5K receive a race shirt, with the option to purchase additional shirts for children up to 4 years old riding in the stroller. The Mom Village Walk is a one-mile route inside the track designed for all ages and abilities, including those walking with babies.
The Kids Dash events are held specifically on the track. Children aged 3 to 10 who are registered for the dash may also participate in the 5K or 1 Mile Walk without an extra fee, though they will not receive a recorded time for the longer distances. Parents are not permitted to run on the track during the children's dash.
On-site facilities include the Mom Village gathering space featuring local community partners, family activities, and snacks at the finish line. All participants in the 5K and 1 Mile Walk receive flowers upon completion. Packet pickup is available two days prior to the event at a designated location and on the morning of the event at the high school. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
