MLVFD Fired Up for the 4th 5K
The Mountain Lakes Volunteer Fire Department presents a community 5K run and walk on June 20, 2026, at the Saint Catherine of Siena parking lot, 10 North Pocono Road, Mountain Lakes, NJ 07046. The event includes organized entries for general participants, public safety personnel, and specific entries for military, veterans, and seniors. The distance for all events is 5K.
Registration and fees vary by category. Non-public safety registration opens February 10, 2026 and closes February 28, 2026 with a fee of $35. Public safety registration opens February 17, 2026 and closes May 24, 2026 with a fee of $30. Military, veterans, and seniors registration opens February 17, 2026 and closes April 24, 2026 with a fee of $30.
Limited parking is available at St. Catherine of Siena. On-street parking is available on Pocono Road, West Shore Road, and nearby neighborhood streets such as Roberts Drive and Arden Road. Organizers ask that vehicles not be parked on East Shore Road, North Crane, or Crane because those roads are part of the course.
Pre- and post-event activities, day of registration, day of bib and t-shirt pickup for eligible registrants, music, refreshments, firefighting demonstrations, and the awards ceremony will take place in the parking lot area. Awards will be presented to the fastest male and female firefighters, police, and EMS, to overall male and female runners, and to age group winners. Event proceeds will support the Mountain Lakes Fire Department purchase of firefighting and safety equipment and training. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
