XTERRA TRANSCEND Trail Run
XTERRA TRANSCEND Trail Run is a trail race held at Dickerson Mine Preserve in Randolph, NJ with start, lap, and finish at Black River Barn on the lakeside. The event includes multiple distance options and is a qualifier for the 2027 XTERRA Trail Run World Championships.

- Half Marathon Trail Run
- 10K Trail Run
- 5K Trail Run
The main loop used for the 10K and Half Marathon measures 6.8 miles with about 400 feet of elevation gain per loop; the Half Marathon completes two loops. The 5K course is approximately 3.1 miles with about 170 feet of elevation gain. The course features singletrack, wooded corridors, and lakeside sections. Course maps and GPS routes are available via RideWithGPS, and registered runners receive access to audio cues for navigation.
Required gear listed for participants includes a charged cell phone, a GPX-capable navigation app such as RideWithGPS pre-loaded, hydration (pack or bottle), a minimum of 200 calories of on-course nutrition, and a whistle. Parking is centered at Black River Barn; additional extended parking is provided at Education Station for Half Marathon participants. Note that if attendees do not plan to eat at Black River Barn they are asked to leave the main parking area by 11:00 AM.
The event takes place rain or shine; there are no refunds. A portion of proceeds will be donated to the Jersey Off Road Biking Association. Finishers may receive a limited edition XTERRA Transcend coffee mug, subject to availability. Age-group and overall medals are awarded as described by the organizer.
