Miwok 100K
The Miwok 100K is a trail event held around Stinson Beach and the Marin Headlands north of San Francisco. The main race covers roughly 62 miles (100K) with over 11,000 feet of elevation gain and includes scenery from redwood stands to ridge lines and coastal cliffs.
The route uses single-track trails and dirt roads, with about one mile of paved road. Course marking and on-course volunteer support are provided, and professional medical staff are assigned to aid stations. Participants receive event-branded finish items including a finisher’s medal and a sweatshirt.
There are multiple ways to take part: an individual 100K entry, a relay for four runners that divides the same 100K course into legs of approximately 26, 9.5, 14 and 13 miles, and a 16-week training plan sold as a package or separately. The training plan is delivered in four-week segments by an experienced coach and offers novice and intermediate options; revenue from the plan supports designated community partners.
The start and finish are located in Stinson Beach near Mount Tamalpais, where basic local amenities such as cafés, a small market and lodging are available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
