Mission Inn Run
The Mission Inn Run is an annual athletic event held in downtown Riverside, California. Established in 1977, this recurring tradition takes place in October and serves as the primary fundraiser for the Mission Inn Foundation and Museum. The event features a variety of courses that pass through local parks, landmarks, and historic neighborhoods.
Participants can choose from several distances and formats:
- 1/2 Marathon (13.1 Miles)
- 10K Run
- 5K Run or Walk
- Kids Fun Run (500m)
- Virtual options for 5K, 10K, and 1/2 Marathon
The 1/2 Marathon includes a course time limit of four hours. For the 5K Walk participants, there are no age division awards; those wishing to be considered for awards must register for the 5K Run. The Kids Fun Run is specifically for children aged 12 and under, and parents are permitted to accompany them on the course.
The event is pet friendly through a partnership that includes a dog park and pet gear. Standard registration for the in-person races includes a bib, a dry-tech t-shirt, a finisher medal, and a reusable tote bag. Virtual participants also receive these items and can complete their distance on any preferred route or treadmill. Teams consisting of five or more members are eligible for a registration discount.
