New Year's Eve 5k 10k 15k Half Marathon : Hidden Valley Nature Center
New Year's Eve 5k 10k 15k Half Marathon takes place at Hidden Valley Nature Center in Riverside on December 31, 2026. The course follows the Santa Ana River and is an open shared-path route; participants should be courteous to other pedestrians, runners, and cyclists.
Distances offered:
- 5k out and back
- 10k two 5k loops
- 15k three 5k loops
- Half marathon three 4.36 mile loops
Park restrooms and portable restrooms are available near the start and finish; these are the only restrooms on course. An aid station at the turnaround at the start/finish supplies water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels. Running or walking with a stroller is allowed. The half marathon has a 3 hour 30 minute time limit; an early start is available by contacting the organizer.
Registration includes custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, chip timing, free videos, live results at finish, free photos tied to bibs, cinematic race highlight reels, trophies and achievement badges, Ascend Index ranking and Ascend Crew features, a free A Better World Running app, and an assortment of snacks. Group discounts for three or more are applied on Race Ascend. Age group awards must be picked up at the race. No refunds; transfers are managed by the organizer.
