The Midlothian ISD Athletics Hall of Honor was established in 2014 to recognize individuals, teams, coaches, and community supporters who have distinguished themselves in MISD athletics and to inspire interest in athletics across the district. Each year the Hall of Honor holds an induction banquet to honor new inductees. The Hall also awards scholarships to graduating senior student-athletes who attend Midlothian ISD.
The running event supports the Hall of Honor mission and helps fund those scholarships. The inaugural 5K and Fun Run in 2023 coincided with the unveiling of the Hall of Honor Community Room at the MISD Multi-Purpose Stadium.
Registered participants receive an official race bib and an event T-shirt if registration is received by November 3, 2026; T-shirts are then provided on a first-come, first-serve basis on race day. Packet pickup is available on race day only. Registration fees vary by date and include processing and taxes; the fee increases by $5 on race day.
Awards are given after the 5K with plaques for overall male and female and master male and female, and medals awarded in male and female age groups. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
