Homecoming 5K
The Homecoming 5K is an annual campus 5K open to UTA students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members. The course follows a scenic route through the UTA campus and accepts both walkers and runners. Proceeds support the UTA Emergency Assistance Fund.
Registration is offered in three periods with different fees:
- Early Bird September 1 to September 30: Student $15, Non-Student $20
- Regular October 1 to November 10: Student $20, Non-Student $25
- Late November 11 to November 14: Student $25, Non-Student $30

Early packet pickup takes place on Thursday, November 12 and Friday, November 13 at the MAC Membership Services; a homecoming giveaway is available for those who pick up packets on those days. Team registration and team discounts are available. Team names must be included on the entry form to qualify; the largest team will receive a prize.
Awards are presented to top finishers in each age group, overall male and female, masters male and female, plus a UTA spirit award for blue and orange dress and a largest team award. Results are posted shortly after participants finish. The event is held rain or shine with no refunds; the race director may delay or cancel for safety reasons. Parking is available in the West Campus Parking Garage at 804 UTA Blvd and in Lot 34 and Lot F6, and an e-permit can be obtained using voucher code HOCO5K.
