Homecoming 5K
The Homecoming 5K is an annual campus event held on the University of Texas at Arlington grounds. The course follows a scenic route through the UTA campus and accepts both walking and running entries. The event is open to UTA students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members. Proceeds benefit the UTA Emergency Assistance Fund.
Registration is offered in three periods with different fees: Early Bird from September 1 to September 30 (Student $15, Non‑Student $20), Regular from October 1 to November 10 (Student $20, Non‑Student $25), and Late from November 11 to November 14 (Student $25, Non‑Student $30). The race day is Saturday, November 14, 2026.
Early packet pick up takes place on Thursday, November 12 and Friday, November 13 at the MAC Membership Services, with a Homecoming giveaway for those who pick up during those days. Parking is available in the West Campus Parking Garage, Lot 34, and Lot F6; an event e‑permit may be obtained using the voucher code HOCO5K.
Awards are given to top finishers in each age group, to overall and masters male and female finishers, and include a UTA spirit award and a largest team award. Team discounts are available and the largest team receives a prize. Results are published shortly after participants finish. The event proceeds rain or shine and no refunds are issued; race staff may delay or cancel the event for safety reasons. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
