Run 4 MK is the fourth annual fundraiser presented by Miriam's Kitchen in partnership with Bishop’s Events. The event is held at Fletcher’s Cove and offers both in-person and virtual participation. Proceeds support Miriam's Kitchen programs and services that work to end chronic homelessness in Washington, DC.
The run is scheduled near Veterans Day and at the start of National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week (November 15-21, 2026), dates that align with the organization’s work. The event honors the legacy of a late guest and community leader who was an avid runner and completed more than 80 races, including 15 marathons; the commemoration falls five years after his passing.
The course is located within an area regularly served by the organization’s Outreach Team, and the event brings together participants, advocates, and community members. Organizers provide fundraising resources such as a toolkit, sample email and social media templates, and a sponsorship packet to support individual and team fundraising efforts. Registration for in-person participation is handled through Bishop’s Events.
All proceeds go to support Miriam’s Kitchen in its mission to provide meals, housing support, and services aimed at ending chronic homelessness in DC. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
