Miola Madness - Fall Edition
The Miola Madness - Fall Edition is a timed running event held in Paola, Kansas. Organized by the Midwest Endurance Race Co., the race takes place on a loop measuring approximately six miles. The course consists of a crushed limestone surface that circles Miola Lake. Participants can choose from several timed durations or a fixed-distance option:
- 12 hours
- 9 hours
- 6 hours
- 3 hours
- 10 km
The event is designed as a supported environment where participants can complete as many laps as they choose within their registered timeframe. The 10 km distance is a new addition to the event, with records established for male and female categories.
The primary race hub is located at the boat ramp trail head, which serves as the start and finish area. This location features restrooms, a dog park, and proximity to a beach area. The course includes one primary aid station stocked with supplies and a secondary station providing fluids. Electrolyte drinks and performance fuels are provided at these stations.
The event follows specific rules to maintain the park environment, including a prohibition on littering and a requirement for pets to be kept on a leash. Runners must stay on the designated trail and may only meet crews at the designated aid stations. The race takes place regardless of weather conditions, and no refunds or transfers are offered.
