Event overview
The Mile 0 Flint Hills Trail Race takes place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Mile 0 Trailhead in Osawatomie, Kansas (1400 South St). Distances offered include:
- 50K
- 20 Miler
- 10 Miler
- Fun Run
All distances are one out-and-back. Time limits apply: the 50K and 20 mile events have a 10-hour limit and the 10 mile event has an 8-hour limit. The Fun Run allows participants to run any distance under 10 miles; participants are responsible for their own distance and timing results.
Course, aid and logistics
The course follows the Flint Hills Trail on a flat, crushed gravel surface. Manned aid stations are supplied approximately every 5.0 miles and unmanned water stations are available approximately every 2.5 miles. Manned stations offer water, electrolyte drinks, snack foods, sandwiches, chips, candy, and energy gels.
Entry benefits for the 50K, 20 mile, and 10 mile distances include a unisex technical race shirt, fully stocked aid stations, pre- and post-race food, complimentary race photos, sponsor swag, and finisher medals. The Fun Run entry includes stocked aid stations, pre- and post-race food, complimentary photos, and a lapel pin.
Packet pickup is scheduled Friday, April 24 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Mile 0 Trailhead, with race day pickup available at the same location. The event uses on-course timers and computerized finish results. The race has a no-refund, no-transfer policy; deferral to the following year is allowed with at least 10 days notice.
