Mile 0 Flint Hills Trail Race
The Mile 0 Flint Hills Trail Race in Osawatomie, Kansas is a multi-distance trail event held on the Flint Hills Trail and staged from the Mile 0 Trailhead at 1400 South St. All distances are run on a flat, crushed-gravel rail-trail on an out and back course. The race uses on-course timers and provides computerized finish times for all distances.
Distances offered include:
- 50K
- 20 Miler
- 10 Miler
- Fun Run (any distance under 10 miles; participants self-manage distance and timing)
Entries for the distance races include unisex tri-blend race shirts, stocked aid stations, pre and post race food, complimentary race photos, sponsor swag, and distance-specific finisher hardware. The Fun Run entry includes stocked aid stations, pre and post race food, complimentary race photos, and a lapel pin.
Manned aid stations supply water, electrolyte drink options including Hammer Heed, snack foods, sandwiches, chips, candy, and gels. Unmanned stations provide water only. Aid stations are approximately 5 miles apart; water-only stations are accessible about every 2.5 miles.
Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the event and on race day at the Mile 0 Trailhead. The race follows a no refund, no transfer policy; deferral to the same race the following year is allowed with advance notice.
