Running With The Cows Half Marathon & 5K
The event takes place on May 9, 2026, in Bucyrus, Kansas, and serves as an annual fundraiser for Holy Rosary Wea School. It offers both in-person and virtual options and features a rural course that starts and finishes at Holy Rosary Wea School, passing through miles of bucolic countryside and rolling hills.

The course is described as fully supported with volunteers positioned along the route. Post-race activities include a smorgasbord with allergy-friendly options. In-person participants receive a race shirt and bib with timing chip at Packet Pickup; virtual packets are not available at pickup. Leftover packets are taken to Holy Rosary Wea School and are available for pickup on race morning starting at 6am at the Registration Tent.
Awards are given for age groups, top overall, and top masters in both the 5K and the half marathon. Virtual registrants are mailed their medal and T-shirt after May 10th; there is no requirement to submit a run time for virtual entries.
