Miola Madness - Spring Into Daylight Savings
Miola Madness is a timed endurance running event located in Paola, Kansas. The event is the first installment of the three-part Miola Madness Series, which also includes summer and fall editions. Participants navigate a loop approximately 6 miles in length around Miola Lake.
The course consists of a crushed limestone surface. Participants choose from several timed options or a fixed distance:
- 12 hours
- 9 hours
- 6 hours
- 3 hours
- 10 km
The 10 km distance is a new addition to the event, with records available for both male and female categories. For the timed events, runners may complete as many or as few miles as they choose within their designated timeframe.
The event hub is located at the boat ramp trail head, which serves as the start and finish area. This location includes restrooms and space for crews to gather. The course features two support points: one primary aid station stocked with food and performance fuel, and a secondary station providing water and gels. Hammer Nutrition products, including electrolyte drinks and gels, are provided on-course.
Registration for the full series is available, and participants who complete all three events receive a series finisher jacket and sticker. The event takes place regardless of weather conditions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
