Minehead Triathlon
The Minehead Triathlon is organised by Channel Events and is scheduled for 18/10/2026 at The Adventure Centre, Minehead, Somerset, TA24 5BG. The event is presented as a sprint triathlon and offers both individual and mixed relay entries.
From 2018 the race course was revised to use the coastal location. The current format includes a sea swim, a road bike section and a short run along the seafront and nearby trails. Distances for the main segments are:
- 750 m open water sea swim
- 20 km bike route out and back towards Porlock
- 5 km run along seafront and off road trails in Culver Cliff woods
The bike route is described as fast and undulating on roads flanked by Exmoor National Park. The run combines flat paved promenade and off road trails and includes a short climb noted as a Strava segment before returning along the seafront to finish on the beach.
Entry options include wave places and mixed relay teams. The standard entry price is £55. Channel Events offers an option to decline a finisher medal and t shirt at entry; medals and t shirt packs may be purchased separately until one month before the event.
