Minehead Triathlon - 10th Edition
The Minehead Triathlon is a sprint triathlon held at The Adventure Centre, Minehead, Somerset on Sunday 10th October 2027. The event uses a coastal setting and routes close to Exmoor National Park, with a sea swim, an out-and-back bike route and a mixed-surface run finishing on the beach.
Distances:
- 750 m sea swim, 2-lap Aussie style exit
- 20 km undulating out-and-back bike course
- 5 km coastal run on promenade, road and woodland trails
The course is fully waymarked. RED buoys mark the swim; black arrows on yellow mark the bike; orange arrows on white and orange flags mark the run. Timing chips provide overall and split times; chips are worn on the left leg and returned after the finish. Safety includes water safety craft and kayakers for the swim and marshals along bike and run sections. If sea conditions are unsafe the swim may be replaced by a duathlon format using the 5 km run course twice.
Entries include a race pack, secure transition and chip timing; entry starts from £49 plus a booking fee and optional finisher merchandise may be purchased at booking. The event is British Triathlon permitted; British Triathlon rules apply and participants must hold appropriate BTF membership or purchase a Race Pass. Categories include Female and Open in line with BTF policy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
