Event Format
The Minehead Triathlon is a sprint-distance triathlon. The event includes a 750m open water sea swim in Minehead Bay, a 20km bike route, and a 5km run route. Participants can enter as individuals or as part of a mixed relay team.
Course Details
The swim takes place in the bay, within the shadows of North Hill. The bike leg is an out-and-back route towards the village of Porlock on roads flanked by the high moorland terrain of Exmoor National Park. The run is a mix of flat paved seafront promenade and off-road trails within the woods of Culver Cliff, finishing on the beach.
Additional Information
The event is based at The Adventure Centre in Minehead, Somerset. Entry is open to participants aged 15 and over. For the current edition, medals and t-shirts are an optional purchase, with the last date to purchase these packs being one month prior to the event. If entering as a relay team, packs must be purchased for each team member. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
