Minehead Triathlon
Channel Events organises the Minehead Triathlon at The Adventure Centre, Minehead, Somerset, TA24 5BG. The event uses the coastal bay near North Hill for an open water sea swim and follows roads toward Porlock with sections alongside Exmoor National Park moorland. The run combines the paved seafront promenade with off road trails through Culver Cliff woods, including a short uphill Strava segment known as the "Cheeky Climb".
The event format includes the following distances:
- 750m sea swim
- 20km bike route
- 5km run route
Historically the race used a 400m pool swim before 2018; since 2018 the swim has been staged in open water. Entries are offered in waves, including mixed relay team options. The standard entry price is £49.00 and the event is open to entrants who will be aged 15 or over on 18/10/2026.
Participants may choose not to receive a medal or a t shirt after the event. Medal and t shirt packs are available to purchase for £5.00 per person, with sales closing one month before the event.
