Mind over Miles - Lorain
Mind over Miles is a community running event held on September 27, 2026, at 421 Black River Ln, Lorain, OH. The event includes a 5K Run/Walk, a 1 Mile Run/Walk and a Kids Dash. The 5K is chip timed; the 1 Mile is untimed. Participants receive a short-sleeved t-shirt and post-race refreshments.
Pre-registration is offered at a $25 fee; a higher race-day fee applies for those who register on the day of the event. The event brings together runners, walkers, businesses and community partners to support local behavioral health services. Proceeds support Riveon, which provides prevention, treatment and advocacy through six core programs: adult behavioral health, children’s behavioral health, crisis services, sexual assault services, substance abuse treatment services and residential and housing services. These programs serve over 10,000 people per year in and around Lorain County.
Awards are presented to the top overall male and female and to the top three male and female finishers in each age group: 0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70+. Dogs are allowed; handlers are asked to line up near the back and use a short leash. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
