About the race
The Enchanted Forest Ultra Run is a six hour trail event held at Roosevelt Forest in Stratford, CT. The event offers a timed six hour format and a 50K distance option on an irregular loop course of 2.3 miles with about 191 feet of elevation gain per loop. Trails consist of single and double track with typical New England features such as roots, rocks and rolling hills. Course markings use signs and flags.
The event is limited to 50 participants. Registration is final; there are no refunds, bib transfers, or race deferrals. Participants must be at least 18 years old or have a parental or guardian signed waiver. CDC, state, and town requirements are applied.
Support on course includes hydration and food options, and pizza choices are provided around midday. Race entry includes event swag and non-alcoholic beer from a sponsor; additional swag and race t-shirts are available for purchase. Podium awards are given to the top three women and top three men by most miles completed at the end of the six hours. Anyone completing more than four hours during the six hour race receives an Enchanted Ultra Event Medallion.
Parking is limited; larger vehicles should use the side lot and RVs are not permitted. Hiking poles and ear buds are permitted; dogs are not permitted in the race and a leash policy applies throughout the forest. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
