Miles That Matter - Community Fun Run
The Miles That Matter Community Fun Run takes place on August 29, 2026, in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi, with start and finish at Mockingbird Café. The event is organized by Bay Saint Louis Running Company and Mockingbird Café in partnership with the Rotary Club of Bay St. Louis and the Hancock County Library System.
This is an untimed run or walk focused on community engagement and charitable giving. The route is approximately 3 miles, with participants free to choose a different distance if they prefer. The event accommodates walking, running, scooting, or rolling, and is open to children, strollers, and dogs.
The month’s beneficiary is the Sleep in Heavenly Peace Bedding Drive. Organizers request one new twin-size bedding item per donation, such as twin sheet sets, twin comforters, blankets, pillows, or mattress protectors. Participants may attend without bringing a donation.
Post-run refreshments include mimosas and water, and a community gathering follows the activity. Registration is free. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
