25th Anniversary 9.11-mile Remembrance Run
The event takes place on 09/12/2026 at the Waveland Lighthouse, 125 N. Beach Blvd, Waveland, MS 39576, United States. It supports local first responder and veteran charities and presents multiple participation options.
- 9.11 Miles Remembrance Run, not timed, $55, minimum age 13.
- 9.11 Miles Battle of the Badges ruck, $99 per team, minimum age 18.
- 1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk, $10, strollers and leashed pets welcome.
Registration opens 07/01/2026 and closes 09/12/2026. All participants in each event receive a commemorative finisher medal.
Battle of the Badges is a three person team ruck for 9.11 miles. One team member must be carried off the ground while the team is moving. Teams may stop and change which member is carried, but one person must remain off the ground during forward movement. No assistance from people outside the three person team and no apparatus such as wheels, ropes, pulleys, or similar devices is permitted. The carry technique is chosen by the team. A waiver agreement is required for all three team members.
The family run/walk covers one mile, allows strollers, and admits leashed pets. The remembrance run is explicitly not a timed event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
