Miles for a Match 5K: San Marcos, TX
The Miles for a Match 5K is a community running event taking place on August 22, 2026, at 206 N C M Allen Pkwy in San Marcos, Texas. The event is organized by the Texas State University chapter of Mu Epsilon Delta in collaboration with Gift of Life. The course distance is 5K (about 3.1 miles).
The event program includes local vendors, live music, and family friendly activities for children and adults throughout the morning. In partnership with Gift of Life, there will be a table where participants can complete a quick cheek swab to register as a potential bone marrow and stem cell donor to support patients with blood cancers such as leukemia and lymphoma.
Participants of all ages may run, jog, or walk the course. A portion of the event proceeds will support Gift of Life’s mission to expand the bone marrow registry. Registration opens March 10, 2026 and closes April 25, 2026; the listed registration fee is $50.00.
