Hosted by Mile in My Shoes at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in St Paul, this community event offers multiple running options both in person and virtually. Distances available include:

• 5K (in person and virtual)
• 1 Mile (Midsummer Mile)
• Kids 1/4-mile
• 1 Mile plus 5K Challenge

The certified 5K is a two-loop course that remains entirely inside the Fairgrounds and passes landmarks such as the Butterfly House, the Grandstand, the Giant Slide, the Space Tower, and the Food Building. The 1 Mile and the kids quarter-mile also loop through the Fairgrounds and pass locations like the Butterfly House, the Grandstand, and Little Farm Hands. The kids race awards a medal to every participant and offers an option to add a kid-sized race tee. The virtual 5K allows participants to complete their distance from anywhere during the event window.

Event registration fees vary by distance, with listed fees for in person and virtual entries. Post-race offerings at the in-person event include Kemps chocolate milk and recovery drinks, custom cookie medals, Jonny Pops, fruit, a finisher photo area, and a cool-down session with Karuna Yoga.
