Mile High Mile : Boulder High School, May 23, 2026
The Mile High Mile is a day of timed track races held at Boulder High School. The event presents community and competitive formats on the same day. Community races use chip timing with rolling wave starts approximately every 15 minutes and printed finisher certificates. Competitive heats use fully automatic timing with seeded heats by pace, including high school, open, sub elite, and elite women and men sections. Athlete introductions are part of the evening program, and organizers plan multiple open heats split by seed times.
Several distinct races are listed, including a free memorial mile that is open to runners and walkers and a wheelchair race. Registration fees vary by event and include free entries for the memorial mile as well as paid entries for other races.
Distances offered include:
- 0.5 mile for youth
- 1 mile community and open events
- 1 mile wheelchair and competitive races
The Elite Invitational field is listed as invitation only. The schedule combines afternoon community timing and evening FAT timed heats to provide both rolling community participation and officially timed competitive racing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
