Mile High Mile
The Mile High Mile takes place on May 23, 2026 at Boulder High School in Boulder, Colorado. The event combines afternoon community running with an evening track meet format.
Community Miles run throughout the afternoon and use chip timed results for instant finish times. These waves are open to youth and adults, include printed finisher certificates, and use rolling wave starts about every 15 minutes so participants can join a later wave if needed.
Competitive Heats take place later and use fully automatic timing for official results. Heats are seeded by pace and include high school races, open and sub elite sections, and separate elite women and elite men races to close the night. The evening session includes athlete introductions and a track meet style atmosphere.
Event offerings include a kids half mile, multiple one mile races, an elite invitational, and a free memorial mile to honor a local loss.
