Event overview
The Mighty Mother's Day Du and Time Trial takes place on Sunday, May 10, 2026, in East Islip, NY (1 Heckscher State Pkwy, 11730). The event includes multiple race options: Individual Time Trial, Individual Duathlon, Duathlon Relay, High School Relay, High School Individual, and Youth Duathlon. Age eligibility listed in the source: Individual Duathlon open to ages 14 and up, Duathlon Relay open to ages 7 and up, and High School Relay open to ages 11 to 18. The time trial is the bike portion only.
Format and course
The adult duathlon format is two runs with a bike in between. Distances for the adult race are:
- Run: 1.8 miles
- Bike: 10.5 miles
- Run: 1.8 miles
The bike course is a very flat 3-lap route. The run course includes sections on grass and dirt.

The event has operated for over 20 years. Finish-line items include awards, sparkling cider, and chocolate. Professional photos are provided free and will be posted on the event Facebook page and on RunSignUp, with the ability to search by bib number or name.
