Midweek Dorney Triathlon - July
The Midweek Dorney Triathlon - July takes place at Dorney Lake in Windsor, an Olympic venue known for its scenic and flat grounds. The event provides a traffic-free environment as the course does not use open roads. Participants swim in a clear lake before transitioning to a bike and run course designed for speed. All results are tracked using chip timing.
The competition is a draft-illegal event and offers several participation options for athletes aged 15 and over:
- Super Sprint: 400m swim, 10km bike, and 2.5km run.
- Sprint: 750m swim, 19km bike, and 5km run.
- Sprint Aquabike: 750m swim and 19km bike (no run).
To participate, athletes must hold a British Triathlon race licence. This can be obtained through an annual Core or Ultimate membership or by purchasing a single-use Race Pass. For those who require gear, options are available for daily or seasonal wetsuit hire. The venue provides free parking for all attendees.
