Bracknell Samaritans 10K/5K/Kids' Race - 20 June 2026
The event is a community charity run at Kings Academy Easthampstead Park in Bracknell offering multiple distances and a children’s fun run. Distances include:
- 5K (U16 and adult categories)
- 10K (completed as two laps of the 5K loop)
- Teddy Bear Kids Run (children, medal provided)
The course is an accurately measured 5K loop that starts and finishes on the grassed sports field; it is run twice for the 10K. The majority of the route is flat and open, passing Peacock Meadows, an incline at the 2/7 km point, Jennetts Park and a lightly wooded section called Tarman’s Copse. Terrain is mainly grass and gravel paths with some pavement. Spectators can view most of the route.
The Bracknell Samaritans branch organises the run and uses profits to support its local, volunteer-run service. Entry fees include specific prices for each race category and a child entry for the Teddy Bear Run. A limited number of entries is available and on-the-day entries may be accepted for an additional fee, subject to availability.
Accessibility notes: the 5K and 10K courses are not suitable for wheelchair users and cannot accommodate pushchairs. The Teddy Bear Kids Run is not suitable for wheelchair users but pushchairs are permitted. Age limits apply for each race category. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
