Bracknell Samaritans Run
The Bracknell Samaritans Run is the 45th edition of the community event held at Kings Academy Easthampstead Park, Bracknell on 20 June 2027. The event offers adult and youth running options and raises funds for the local Bracknell, Wokingham, Ascot & District Samaritans branch; all profits raised directly benefit the local branch.
Distances
- 5K - accurately measured 5 km loop.
- 10K - two laps of the 5 km loop.
- Teddy Bear Kids Run - two laps of the grassed sports field.
The 5K loop starts and finishes on the grassed sports field and passes through Peacock Meadows, an incline near 2/7 km, Jennetts Park and a lightly wooded section called Tarman’s Copse. Terrain includes grass and gravel paths with short sections of pavement. The course offers good spectator viewing and is generally wide. The 5K and 10K courses are not suitable for wheelchair users and pushchairs are not permitted in those races. The Teddy Bear Kids Run is not suitable for wheelchair users but pushchairs are permitted.
Age and entry details include a minimum age of 11 for the 5K and 16 for the 10K. The Teddy Bear Kids Run is typically suited to children around 3 to 10 years; children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult who is not charged. Entry is limited to 600 places. Early entry fees and a lower early bird price structure apply, and there is a club membership discount from 01/02/2027; on-the-day entries are subject to availability and an extra fee.
