Government Peak Endurance 100 & 50 Mile

The Government Peak Endurance races are held at Government Peak Recreation Area in Palmer, Alaska on Sep 6, 2026. The event is part of the Toughest Alive Midnight Sun Endurance Festival and includes a festival environment with multiple events.

The course uses a looped trail format of about 3 miles per loop. The trail moves through flowing singletrack, rolling climbs, and runnable sections. All loops return to a central hub near the main venue.

The central aid station serves as a high-energy hub with electrolytes (LMNT and Tailwind), real food and snacks, crew access every loop, medical support, music, and event support. Crew and pacers can meet runners at the hub for seamless transitions. Family members can remain engaged without long drives or remote checkpoints.

The wider festival includes food trucks, a vendor village, ice baths for recovery, and multiple events and disciplines happening nearby. Sauna and additional recovery services are pending final confirmation.

Race distances follow the same looped format, with the main difference being the total number of loops completed. Registration closes Thu, Sep 3 at 11:59 PM AK. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
