Run For Impact : Palmer, AK
Run For Impact is a community fundraising event organized with Kuuk Water and Kuugaq to benefit a local family in need. The main race is a 5K held on the Colony High School cross-country trails, and a separate untimed kids run is offered for children 10 and under.
The 5K starts on the front soccer field and continues through marked Colony XC trails with flaggers on course. The trail is a moderately difficult, rolling grass surface. Strollers and pets are not permitted on the race course. All spectators and athletes must park outside the gated stadium area.
Distances:
- 5K: trail race on Colony High School XC trails with rolling grass terrain.
- 1K (Kid's Fun Run): three laps around the soccer field for children 10 and under.
Registration opens February 27 and closes June 11. The 5K has an entry fee of $40 and the kids run is free. T-shirt sizes are guaranteed for registrations completed by May 23. Bib pick up begins race morning near the start tent; kid participants will not receive bibs. Race day registration is available for a limited time with card payments processed through RunSignUp or exact cash. A family pack option is available for four entries at $120. There are no transfers, deferrals, or refunds. Participants who donate $50 or more receive a custom Run4Matt hat. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
