Run For Impact
The Run For Impact is a community trail running event held in Palmer, Alaska. The race takes place on the Colony High School XC trails, featuring a course of rolling grass terrain. The primary purpose of the event is to raise funds for Kuuk Water to support various Alaskian initiatives, including clean water access, disaster relief, and youth services.
Participants can choose from the following event distances:
- 5K Run
- 1K Kid's Fun Run
The 5K course starts in the soccer field near the school and follows flagged trails. Due to the nature of the terrain, strollers and pets are not permitted on the course. The Kid's Fun Run is a free, untimed 1K out-and-back loop specifically for children aged 10 and under.
Check-in and bib pick-up occur on the morning of the race near the start tent, although participants in the children's run do not receive bibs. Participants who register by the late May deadline are guaranteed an event t-shirt. On-site registration is available on race day for those who do not register online in advance. All athletes and spectators are required to park outside of the gated stadium area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
